CREATIVE LEAD
w/Charles Nordeen
In partnership with the Wallace estate and Optimo, BIGGIE INSPIRES was a special campaign celebrating the 25th anniversary of his groundbreaking "Ready to Die" album. Biggie's family, crew, and hip-hop legends joined forces to host a unique art contest. Over 200 talented artists shared their Biggie-inspired creations through social media and our website. The contest gave two lucky winners the chance to see their art turned into amazing hand-painted murals on the very same Brooklyn streets Biggie made famous.
CAMPAIGN BREAKDOWN
ROOFTOP PROJECTION MAPPING
The campaign culminated in an Art Gallery Exhibit overlooking Brooklyn. To celebrate the occasion and the artists we created a surprise projection mapping on the rooftops below all timed to Biggie's hit 'Juicy,' and featuring all the art created during the campaign. Biggie's mom loved it :)
(A few process elements. The A frame rooftops we utilized are positioned like a sideways 'L' , leaving the top left quadrant empty.)
AWARENESS & ARTIST RECRUITMENT
We partnered with 18-influential artists to create Biggie Inspired art for contest promotion. The artists, the process, and, inspiration was featured as OLV, stills, and P.R., on their channels and ours.
